Day 10: Fruit Plantation & Baseball Academy

Hey!

My name is Amanda Sparkes and I am going to be blogging for you today.

So... the title sums it up for you - we went to the Fruit Plantation in the morning and then the Baseball Academy in the afternoon.

I found helping the farmer, Pastor Julio, to be really rewarding. What we managed to do in 1 hour, he would have done in 2 days.

When we went to the Baseball Academy, the boys there were so nice to all of us, and they helped us when we messed up - which was often. Even the coaches took us aside and helped us improve our game, and even though we weren't the best players, the whole team helped.

It was a day full of laughter and love and I wouldn't change a single thing about it.

This was behind Pastors Julio's church, waiting to use the bathroom.

The bathroom.....it explains itself. (Note lack of door.)

Nicaraguan Gothic.

This is Passion Fruit. We helped prepare the field for a new section to be planted.

Proof to Shana's mom that she really can work on a farm!

Lindsay needed proof that she did work on a farm. Won't her mother be proud?

So this was Lindsay, Fearny, Samuel, and me trying to pick up some new baseball skills. Trying is the key word.
